Grave
본인에게 장소성은 매우 중요한 키워드이다. 그 장소성의 내러티브를 전환시 킬 수 있는 장치가 바로 재매개된 매개이기 때문이다. 무덤 Grave 에서 보이는 무덤은 죽음을 ‘잠시 덮은 이불’의 의미로 해석된 트랜짓(transit) 같은 공간이다. 무덤시리즈는 이승과 저승의 차원이 전환되는 이동에 관하여 다루 고 있다. 또한 이 작품에서 무덤은 이동을 매개해주는 매체로 해석되었다.
For me, the concept of place is a crucial keyword. It is through the process of remediation that I am able to shift and reinterpret the narrative of a place. In my work Grave, the grave is depicted as a space of transit—a “blanket temporarily covering death”—rather than an endpoint. The Grave series explores the transition between this world and the next, focusing on the movement and transformation that occurs between dimensions. In this context, the grave is interpreted as a medium that facilitates this journey.
